2020 Sony World Photography Awards Exhibit Glimpse of Life Around the World
Photography has been a great medium to capture the memorable moments to provide an everlasting joy. Every year various photography contests give the world some amazing photographs of life around the globe. This year too, over 345,000 photographs were entered into the 2020 Sony World Photography Awards.
The photographs were allowed entry across the four divisions of the competition and the best single images from the Open contest’s 10 categories have been announced. From the African wilderness to protesters in South America, the winning photographs are an exhibit of the beauty of life around the globe.
Each one of the 10 winners provide a unique perspective on the world in various categories including Wildlife, Landscape, Travel, Street Photography, Motion, and Culture. The winning photographers come from six various countries, with Australia having a particular stronghold. Australian photographers won top marks in the Landscape, Culture, and Travel categories.
The winner will receive $5,000 and have the chance to be named Open Photographer of the Year. The winner will be announced via social media on June 9, 2020.
