Inspired from the way a caterpillar folds itself, industrial designer Maximilian Solomon has designed a solar charger concept. Of course, it included photovoltaics, and is sort of fordable thing to make it easier to transport.
When folded, it appears like a toolbox with handle. When opened, the photovoltaic panels are exposed to the sun on a wider platform.
However, the cavity inside the folded device could be put to some use. That’ll be a complimentary advantage for users. Two pairs of photovotaics looks pretty good to charge almost any gadget, not just phones. Laptops, tabs, iPod etc. it can juice them all once exposed to bright sunlight.
The designer is still experimenting with design, and he might come out with something more than just a solar charger. Presently, the world needs portable green technologies, so the common men could access renewable energy generation. The styling part could be compromised for now.
