Nikolai Sorensen’s Under Cover Camper: A sustainable two–men-tent

The ‘Under Cover Camper’ by Nikolai Sorensen is another attempt to promote sustainable design of two-men-tents used for camping and events. Especially, it’s an effort to rejuvenate the charm and value of two–men-tent that has declined over the past 20 years.

Taking inspiration from the aftermaths of events, where, as the designer says, one out of five tents is discarded on the spot. That’s a wastage and is an unsustainable practice.

The Under Cover Camper is more or less the same in terms of the design, but uses quality and style as an additional temptation for it. The designer claims highest quality material to ensure the product is extremely strong with marine ply frame, apt protection from water, and at the same time, the brass and leather trim keep up with the trending style.

Along with durability, the tent is flexible enough to accommodate some changes like the front wall can be unzipped at the day time. Obviously, in summers, it’s better to let in fresh air. The wall gets folded towards the roof and the tent makes an adorable sun shelter.
