Recently, Cyclone Amphan wreaked havoc in West Bengal and Odisha. After the devastation passed, Bhubaneswar witnessed beautiful sky coloured with tints of pink and purple. This stunning view stormed Twitter with photos accompanied by motivational notes about humanity coming out victorious from the ordeals.

This gorgeous sky not only provided a pleasant sight but relief as well. The scary winds of the cyclone uprooted trees, broke windows, and left behind a trail of destruction as it moved towards Bengal.
According to the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) chief, more than five lakh people have been located to shelters in West Bengal and over one lakh in Odisha. Unfortunately, 72 people have died in Bengal due to calamity.
Reportedly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be leading an aerial survey of West Bengal and Odisha to evaluate the damage owing to the cyclone.
NDRF teams are working to ensure all possible assistance to people in the areas affected by the cyclone.
Since the records were kept, Cyclone Amphan is only the second “super cyclone” to form over the Bay of Bengal and the first since 1999. Odisha was ravaged by a super cyclone in 1999 that killed nearly 10,000.
