RAINWATER NOW DEEMED UNSAFE FOR DRINKING

This fact has come to light as per a study conducted by Stockholm University and ETH Zurich researchers

Human made chemicals have laced rainwater with per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS)

Used in consumer and industrial products, they are also known as forever chemicals

They’re not safe for the environment as they don’t decompose easily

Unfortunately forever chemicals are now spread in the atmosphere even in the Antarctic

The most toxic chemical is perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) which can cause risk of cancer

Regions dependent on rainwater for drinking needs could be adversely affected by this revelation

There are filtration systems that detoxify polluted water and could be useful in this scenario

Still this development is a cause of great concern for the populous!
